Getting Started

Set up Ironwork in 5 minutes.

1

Create an account

Visit Ironwork and sign in with your email via WorkOS AuthKit. Single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) are supported out of the box. If your organization already uses WorkOS, your existing identity provider works automatically.

2

Create a workspace

Workspaces isolate your team's projects, integrations, and API keys. Give your workspace a name and a URL slug. The creator becomes the workspace owner with full administrative control.

3

Connect Linear

Go to Integrations, click Connect on Linear, and authorize via OAuth. Ironwork registers each agent (Refine, Build, Review) as a first-class Linear agent. Your team can assign or @mention them directly on issues.

4

Connect GitLab

Click Connect on GitLab and authorize via OAuth. For better audit trails, we recommend creating separate GitLab service accounts for Build and Review and configuring their Personal Access Tokens (PATs) in the integration settings.

5

Add your Anthropic API key

Go to Settings, click Add API Key, and paste your Anthropic key. It's encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest. All Claude usage is billed directly to your Anthropic account — Ironwork adds no markup.

6

Add a project

Go to Projects, click Add Project, and select a repository from your connected GitLab instance. Ironwork clones it so agents can analyze your codebase during refinement and implementation.

7

Assign an agent

In Linear, assign Refine to any issue to start refinement. Assign Build or Review to a GitLab merge request to trigger implementation or review. Agents start working immediately.

What's next?

Learn what each agent does and how to get the most out of them:

  • Refine — AI-powered ticket refinement
  • Build — Automated code implementation
  • Review — Intelligent code review
